Working

Here are some more pictures of the students (and Burt) working down in Jackson.

First Pic--Amy and Robyn working on a tough nail. (look at her pipes)

Second Pic--Amy and Abby showing great team work in painting at the house.

Third Pic--Debbie being Debbie--showing her "hammering skills"

Fourth Pic--Alicia cutting her first piece of lumber (with me making sure she doesn't cut off her fingers...or mine)---It was a perfect cut by the way...must the the good teaching on my part!

Fifth--Burt working on Dions porch with us.

Shepherdsville, KY

These are some of the pictures from our time in Shepherdsville Kentucky. Family Worship Center opened up their building for us, and were such a huge blessing to us! There is no doubt that they are exactly the people God wanted us to stay with along the way..
The second picture down is NOT me and Abby doing an interpretive dance, although it really does look like it. We are actually playing a game of volleyball with a beachball with a table as our net. I'm pretty sure we won!
The next picture is Mike and Abby with the "bubba teeth" in. Homer (the youth pastor from FWC gave us all sets of teeth so we felt welcome in Kentucky.
The last picture is Mike surrounded by a bunch of the girls.....what else is new? I think he was watching an embarrassing video of them or something......anyways....great times in Shepherdsville.....more pictures to come!

Pictures

Here are a few more pictures, (I will keep posting more--I have lots)

The top picture is a bunch of our students presenting a cd player to Voice of Calvary Fellowship. They saw in the bulletin that they needed one so the students pooled some money and went out and bought one! (also in this picture Megan Voos who works for VOC and was a huge help to us is at the bottom right)

The middle picture is Debbie, Abby, Jaclyn, Amy and Rachel with Dion. We hung out with Dion a lot and also help his family who lived just down the street from us with a porch they were working on. His mom cried when our students offered to help because she said no one has ever offered to help her before ...especially "white folk"

Last picture is the morning we left...everyone is ready to go!!!(except Leslie who is still half asleep.....trust me though, she woke up a few hours later.

Spezza Live

I got to see my favorite player Sidney Crosby a couple months ago. This past weekend I got to see one of my other favorite young players Jason Spezza play! Not to mention a great game between the Leafs and Sens in great seats! (Thanks Steve!!) Spezza made two unbelievable moves along with some pretty consistent dazzling play. The first one he walked right through all the Leafs, but put the puck over the net. The second time, in the third period he did the same type of move but this time slid the puck to Heatley (one of my other favorites) for a one timer which proved to be the game winner!....great night!!! I was sorry I had to leave quizzing early though!
