And it begins.......phone here, plan this, book these, read that, send these 200 letters away..yadda, yadda yadda.....Beginning to get a glimpse at how busy ministry will actually be. I'm excited for sure, but yet feel a little overwhelmed at the thought of it all. I know if I try do this on my own strength I won't do too well, but Christ in me can do beyond my wildest dreams and that's what I am trusting in. To God be the Glory....in EVERYTHING.......ps...your prayers are very very important to me! thanks so much!

A great Sunday today. Mom and Dad were down, and came here for breakfast and then Church and lunch at Jake and Heather's after Church. (Anyone else who wants to come visit, please do, you'll get fed very well!) Right now I am actually feeling a little under the weather, don't really know why, just don't feel 100%. But I'll take some time and just relax and i'm sure i'll be fine and all set to go again.
Pray that this will be a productive week for me, as there is a lot of things to take care of and begin to plan.

Names are finally beginning to stick in my head a bit more...still lots more to learn though. We had another good night of youth last night out at Barbour field. For summer events without much planning or anything we are getting a decent amount of youth out. I'm looking forward to getting into planning for the fall, and having more of a routine started. We have a great group of kids coming out already, and it'll be exciting to see what happens this fall.
Pray Please----youth band that i will be leading, all the leaders as we plan for this fall, ...that I would rely 100% on God and not myself...

Lesson of the Day----GET USED TO ANSWERING MACHINES! I think everyone I tried call today, whether it was youth in the church, or from soccer camp, or a Church in Hamilton, I ended up talking to a machine. Just one of the joys of being the Youth Intern.

it's about bedtime for me, so this will be short and possibly boring.... Today I had staff meeting, and went to Guelph with a couple youth to serve food to homeless youth down there. Tonite I had "Root Cellar" which is the college and career thing here....Tomorrow I go with Jake to the District Office. Don't know exactly what that all means, but i guess i get the tour and such...and get to meet some people. well I know this post is quite dull, but that's cuz I'm tired and need sleep, so off I go.

Highlight/low-point of the day---getting a speeding ticket. oops, that cop wasn't very nice to me, but as I am learning to say a lot, "that's life". Other than the speeding ticket things are going great here! Today was a day for me to get reading and other oods and ends done, tomorrow is my first official "Staff Meeting". Yesterday was a great day. Service went well, almost every week I will be doing what we have called "The Internship Interlude with Kellen". IT's a chance for me to let the congregation know what is going on and what I have been doing. Jake and I are thinking of getting theme music for me and everything! (i'm thinking the superman theme)
After church yesterday I got to hang out with the Stevenson family which was great, they took me to ride their horse. (I was supposed just be there for lunch and a meeting with their daughter and another girl about a worship team, but I ended up stay for supper and then til 11pm) God has definately blessed me with people who really care about me and what I am doing here!
I am staying with Paul and Pam Nieuwland (and Josh) they are an AWESOME family to be living with!!! for those who want to send mail (Chandra) the address is

hey everyone, I'm trying out this blog thing, I hope this will help you to keep up with all that is happening here in Erin. I will put prayer requests on here, as well as general info and stuff like that.
This week I was doing soccer camp with Athletes in Action. It was awesome, but very tiring. Erin is a huge soccer community, and I think this camp had a great impact. the AIA coaches were awesome and very passionate about reaching these kids for Christ. Pray for the kids that heard the gospel at this camp, some who have made a decision to follow Christ, but don't have a Christian family, and others who had lots of questions about it.
For myself, just continue to pray for strength and energy and that I'd be a tool in God's hands.
until next time
